ReplyDelete@sanyog.....firstly i think the best ref possible in india is of HOD pgi....but still i agree i need to give text book references,,,so here are they;
ReplyDelete1) see page 36 harrison 16th edition...it only writes ursodiol in the treatment of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.
2)see amit ashish nov 2008 ques 175=> it does not even mention cholestyramine in the treatment of this condition.

it clearly writes ursodiol is better than cholestyramine
@sanyog....vvf means vesicovaginal fistula
ReplyDelete3 swab test helps but cystoscopy is the most conclusive diagnosis to check the site of fistula
For VVF----I feel 3 swab test is answer.
ReplyDeletevvf is confirmed with some forms of oral (pyridium)and/or intravesical dye (methylene blue) resulting in vaginal tampoon discolouration.

My final opinion is Cystoscopy as it can localise the site of fistula
