most common congenital anomaly in baby of diabetic mother

1)most common CONGENITAL MALFORMATION in the baby of diabetic mother = CVS malformations > CNS malformations.
but this was organ system wise,,,if you ask lesion wise then
2)most common lesion is = neural tube defects > transposition of great vessels.
3)most specific lesion is = caudal regression syndrome (sacral agenesis)

    some say option B is the answer
    no assymetrical septal wall hypertrophy is a normal ''physiological'' change in some babies....its not a malformation.

  3. @ DR PAWAN....that allindia ques says TGV and VSD ,,,nowhere it writes VSD > TGV
    i am damn sure about this
    its TGV > VSD

  5. Commonest congenital malformation in infant of a diabetic mother is (aiims june 97)
    a)neural tube defect
    b)hydrocephalus
    c)Anencephaly
    d)sacral agenesis what is the ans here---is it A or C? plz clarify sir, I am confused.
    Of the CNS most common is Anencephaly>Spina Bifida----am I right sir? Thanks
