QUES AIIMS NOV 2009)MOST COMMON CAUSE OF NEONATAL SEPSIS IN INDIA

aiims nov 2009) which of the following is the most common cause of neonatal sepsis in india?
a)group B streptococcus
b)eschirichia coli
c)pseudomonas
d)listeria

answer=before answering remember the top three most common causes of neonatal sepsis in india
1)klebsiella
2)staphylococcus aureus
3)pseudomonas
according to this order you have to answer the ques because options may be changed in upcoming exams,,,but here in our ques answer = pseudomonas

    yaar yeh drug of choice for filamentous fungi kya hai ---natamycin ki nystatin,,,,delta type of opiod receptors ka action ,,,,,most active single therapeutic agent used in the treatment of leiomyosarcoma kya hai ---adriamycin or doxorubicin

    ques 1)drug of choice for filamentous fungi causing fungal keratitis
    a)itraconazole
    b)nystatin
    c)natamycin
    d)ketoconazole
    this ques came in AI 2005

    answer =c) natamycin
    explanation=two most common filamentous fungi that cause fungal keratitis are fusarium and aspergillus
    overall doc =natamycin
    doc for fusarium keratitis = natamycin
    doc for aspergillus keratitis= clotrimazole 1% suspension (ref=khurana page 422)

    here option c is natamycin and hence the answer

    answer is doxorubicin
    adriamycin and doxorubicin are the same things...
    adriamycin is the trade name of doxorubicin
    so we shud choose doxorubicin as our answer
    i tell u how?
    suppose if are asked doc for fever,what will you say? paracetamol or crocin?
    obvously paracetamol since crocin is one of the brand names of PCM

    similarly we will chosse doxorubicin as our answer here :) :)
